Walnuts are healthy! Researchers have studied the health benefits of walnuts for quite some time. Initially, this research often focused on the healthy fat content of walnuts (Omega 3 ALA). More recently there has been more research on the phytochemical content of walnuts and their anti-oxidant properties. In general, these studies have found that walnuts contain much greater nutrient density than just about any other tree nut.
