Fresh In Shell Walnuts Fall 2026 Harvest
To get notified when the first in shell walnuts are ready to be ordered and get approximate dates for when they will be harvested and screen dried, submit your email. You'll likely get two or three emails this fall as each variety is ready, then no more emails until next fall, unless you order, in which case you'll go on our general email list and get the light halves and pieces notification and the green walnut shipping date notification with a potential pecan email as well.
The best way to get fresh walnuts is to buy direct from the farmer during harvest. This year, I intend to sell unsprayed, hand harvested, screen dried Vina English walnuts in mid to late September depending on weather, certified organic Chandler English walnuts hand harvested screen dried in early to mid October. Also some unsprayed but not certified organic walnuts available from buffer zones or from my Uncle's orchard. He did not spray or apply any non-omri listed substance this year, but still has two more years to go fulfill the required 3 year period of no prohibited substances on the land to be eligible for organic certification. In late October, we will likely sell some commercially hulled and dried walnuts from his walnut orchard. Those will likely be pre-sale only as we pull the sold amount direct from the huller before sending them to the walnut processor. Finally, in November, we will likely have some light halves and pieces walnut meats for sale from my Uncle's walnuts after then have been shelled.
