If you have questions I am doing the best I can to keep up, but this is the busiest time on the farm. I have shipped 18lb pre-order boxes up to those placed on September 25th, 8lb up to September 27th. Monday should be orders up past October 1st with the rest of pre-orders on Wednesday. -Asa asa@betterwalnuts.com ... Product Details
From my Uncle John's Orchard. Picked up with hand roller and screen dried, NOT certified organic, but one year and counting with no sprays. Compared to the Chandlers from my organic orchard, these are slighly larger nut size on average slightly lighter color on average with higher percentage of tip shrivel. See video for random 20 nut crackout. Pretty typical. Estimate 5% insect damage, 5% heavily shrivel, 20% light tip shrivel. This is same orchard commercially dried will come from, but those will be slightly darker due to commercial hulling/drying process. Unsprayed orchard this year, minimally sprayed last 5 years, still has 2 more years of no-sprays to be eligible to certify organic.
