Walnut season is underway and have received a lot of pre-orders. I have started picking up certified organic and the first are on the screens with another 8 acres or so still to pick up by hand... hard work and time consuming. so if you order certified organic today, you will have to wait for me to fill all the pre-orders before I get to yours. It will likely take all current windfalls to fill my 200+ pre-orders, so you may have to wait two weeks if you order today. May be faster depending on how much wind and whether commercial shaker comes this week or the following. Vina variety harvested and almost sold out ~80lb left. Likely will pick up some windfall Chandlers from my Uncle's orchard, not certified but screen dried and unsprayed. Picked up in my Uncle's Orchard to try to clear for a last mow prior to harvest. Higher percentage tip shrivel than normal. Very light color if that's something you are into. See video for random 20 nut checkout. Estimate 5% insect damage, 5% heavily shrivel, 20% light tip shrivel. This is same orchard commercially dried will come from, but those will be slightly darker due to commercial hulling/drying process. Unsprayed orchard this year, minimally sprayed last 5 years, still has 2 more years of no-sprays to be eligible to certify organic.
